Yorkshire Parish Registers to go onlineFind My past has announced that they have entered into an agreement with the Yorkshire Digitisation Consortium to publish online parish registers and bishops transcripts for most of Yorkshire. The Consortium is made up of six Yorkshire Archives

  • East Riding Archives and Local Studies Service
  • Borthwick Institute for Archives (University of York)
  • North Yorkshire County Record Office
  • Teesside Archives
  • Sheffield Archives and Local Studies
  • Doncaster Archives and Local Studies

The time span of these records will range from the beginning of parish registers in 1538 to the 20th century and will cover the majority of Yorkshire. No release date has yet been announced.

For those with ancestors in Yorkshire have lots to look forward to in 2013!
