Well things are going along at quite a pace with www.Ancestry.co.uk, first Liverpool and then Dorset and now West Yorkshire parish registers are available online. The registers run from 1512 – 1985. Some of the registers are what’s known as
Dade Registers and they give much more information than usual, sometimes even grandparents names.
Anyone got any Yorkshire ancestors I can adopt?!!!
Sure, Linda! How many of my Yorkshire ancestors would you like?! I really have left several of them quite neglected…. [I enjoy your blog a great deal--Thanks!]
I thought I would contact you in the hope you might be able to point me in the right direction, I am trying to gain info on a relative, but every thing I have tried to date has failed, Because of a name change ( I do not know why) Alice Bramham/or Gowen wed a Arthur Eason from Leeds, again do not know where ? they wed in 1940, not sure where about in Leeds they wed.
Any ideas where I could try Linda ?
Thanks again Linda.
John
