WW1 RAF & RFC Records to go online

I got an email from FindMyPast today announcing a new project to digitise WW1 RAF & RFC records that are held at The National Archives under the reference AIR79. The press release states that it is estimated that the collection will, when completed. comprise 360,000 transcripts and 800,000 scanned full-colour images dating back to 1912.

No date for the completion of the scanning of these documents and their release online has been given.
