The site hold the plans that were made prior to the enlargement & “restoration” in the Victorian period. In some instances these plans are the only reference to how the churches used to be before the Victorians got their hands on them !! I have seen some pretty appalling Victorian improvements to parish churches!!

There is a simple & advance search which can be used to locate the parish church plans, if they exist and if they are on the database. The database does hold thousands of plans so it is well worth a look.

The original plans are held at the Lambeth Palace Archives.
