As promised a few days ago DeceasedOnline have added all 56,000 records for Plumstead Cemetery onto their website. The cemetery opened in 1890 and is situated in the borough of Greenwich.
There are several famous people buried there including Private Thomas Flawn and Gunner Alfred Smith who were awarded the Victoria Cross. There is also a memorial to those who lost their lives in an explosion at the Royal Arsenal, Woolwich.
There are maps showing position of grave and some photographs of headstones, not all stones have been photographed. The records consist of scans of the burial registers and grave books, all indexed. DeceasedOnline is a pay per view website with credits starting at £3 for 30 credits, it costs 15 credits per entry to view the books and registers, 20 credits to view a headstone photograph and 50 credits for a cemetery map. Some cemetery maps might be found online free of charge at the local council website, so check first.
