Mapping the ANZACS

The National Archives of Australia have made available the ANZAC WWI records online. There is no charge for this service and you can download and then print off the entire records of any serviceman in the dataset. I’m told that there are links back to the UK for soldiers who arrived in Australia from the UK prior to 1914.

Sounds like an excellent asset for those who have family who emigrated and also for those doing one name studies. National Archives Australia run a really good website and obviously take the need of genealogists seriously. Well done !!

About Linda Elliott

History, particularly Family History is my passion. I have worked in libraries & archives, I have taught family history as extra mural courses and have worked as a professional family history researcher. It seemed a shame to have all this knowledge & experience and not share it with others.
