Find My Past has announced a partnership with Canterbury Cathedral Archives for the digitisation of the registers of East Kent parishes. The first release will be within the next few weeks and will comprise a browsable version of the registers of the Archdeaconry of Canterbury. Eventually there will also be an indexed transcript of the records.
This is great news for those with East Kent ancestry and will be most helpful during the temporary closure of the archives from February to October 2012.
