The British Postal Museum has signed an agreement with Ancestry.com to include the Post Office Appointment books 1831 – 1960 on their website. The microfilmed books will be scanned and then indexed then placed online on the Ancestry.co.uk website. The records contain Post office employees appointments, transfers, dismissals, resignations, retirements and deaths. Wonderful resource for those with ancestors who worked for the GPO.
